My name is Paige Lysaght and I blog here.
I'm a twenty-something year old (mostly) recovering sugar addict who went from overstressing and overindulging to looking for balance and making wellness a major part of my life.
(Or, at least, I'm working on it. I have a long way to go.)
After too many years in the restuarant industry, I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and became a Certified Health Coach. I'm now the Director of Healthy Spirit Wellness and am working near-ish Northern Virginia (though I do a lot of client work by phone and online, too!).
Despite my decent knowledge of food and cooking (both from school and from excessive blog reading), I really struggle in the kitchen and am totally an amateur cook. This blog will be an opportunity for me to share my journey with health, my kitchen adventures (as I hopefully move past the status of kitchen newbie), my efforts to live a budget-friendly lifestyle, and whatever wellness tidbits I feel struck to share.
I like smoothies, vacations, mashed potatoes, Etsy window shopping, recipes with six ingredients or less, looking at boats, raw veggies, coffee beverages, the Game Show Network (yep. really.), excessive blog reading, my neat boyfriend, reading trashy novels, reading non-trashy novels, reading & re-reading all Harry Potter books, reading healthy living stuff, and bubble baths.
I do not like fruits with weird textures. Or octopi.
